The Reynolds Homestead, in partnership with Clark Gas and Oil, will present Pride and Prejudice – A Musical Comedy theatrical performance at the Star Theatre in Stuart, Virginia.
The musical is an adaptation of the novel, Pride and Prejudice, written by Jane Austen. The plot revolves around Elizabeth Bennet who loves books. People, however, are another story. Especially people like the pompous Mr. Darcy who threatens to ruin the happiness of her beloved sister Jane. In this imaginative, musical retelling of Austen’s classic novel, the indomitable Elizabeth Bennet attempts to find a happy ending amidst all of life’s follies and inconsistencies. Especially her own. Two performances: Dates: January 25, 2025, Saturday, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and January 26, 2025, Sunday, 2:30 p.m.
The two-act performance includes 18 original songs and will run approximately two hours including an intermission. The script and lyrics were written by Tara Raczinski, who also composed the music in partnership with the music director Chris Tilley. Tilly will provide the orchestration for the performance and Raczinski will perform the role of Mrs. Bennet. Hope Cameron-Smith is the director.

Guests will meet an interpreter at the Visitor Center then drive to the hike location. This hike is over steep, uneven terrain and is difficult. Fairy Stone State Park will host the Moonshine Hollow Hike. Walk in the footsteps of moonshiners of decades gone by. Visit the remains of two old moonshine stills and learn about the very interesting, and sometimes tragic, history of our local moonshining activities -- Fridays, 10 a.m. at the Fairy Stone State Park Visitor Center. Guests will meet an interpreter at the Visitor Center then drive to the hike location. This hike is over steep, uneven terrain and is difficult. Fairy Stone State Park will host the Moonshine Hollow Hike. Walk in the footsteps of moonshiners of decades gone by. Visit the remains of two old moonshine stills and learn about the very interesting, and sometimes tragic, history of our local moonshining activities -- Fridays, 10 a.m. at the Fairy Stone State Park Visitor Center. Guests will meet an interpreter at the Visitor Center then drive to the hike location. This hike is over steep, uneven terrain and is difficult.
