Looking for an indoor activity to beat the heat? Our current exhibit, Earth as Art, is open to the public beginning Monday, July 14. Call 276-694-7181 to schedule a visit! Created by the U.S. Geological Survey, Earth as Art showcases satellite images of Earth that are both visually stunning and scientifically meaningful. These real images are taken by Landsat satellites and reveal the textures, colors, and patterns of our planet in ways we can’t see from the ground. Our staff can also develop custom field trip opportunities for the collection, which will be on exhibit through August 2025.
