Anyone making a donation will be entered in a drawing to win two tickets to either a Dinner and a Movie Night or a Jazz on the Lawn Concert. Winner’s choice!

On Exhibition: In/finite Earth. In/finite Earth is the 12th exhibition in VSA and Volkswagen Group of America's annual Emerging Young Artists

June 27, 2014

This longtime collaboration is an unprecedented opportunity for visual artists, ages 16-25, with disabilities to receive national recognition at the start of their careers. In/finite Earth asked Emerging Young Artists to showcase work that illuminates innovative viewpoints at the intersection of environmentalism, creativity, and disability. Regardless of continent, country, or culture, over six billion people draw sustenance from the shared resources of our planet, repercussions for which are still unfolding. In/finite Earth is a call to artists to engage in the physical, emotional, and creative ties we share across our planet, and present their artistic perspectives regarding the natural world, sustainability, and our collective future. The 15 recipients were awarded a total of $60,000 in prize money generously provided by Volkswagen.

The exhibition debuted at the Smithsonian Institution's S. Dillon Ripley Center in fall 2013 and will be on display at the Reynolds Homestead throughout July and August 2014. It will open to the public on Wednesday, July 9.
