The event will celebrate the unveiling of the new Water Tower Mural, a public art project that adds another vibrant landmark to the Mayo River Rail Trail and downtown Stuart. Community members are encouraged to bring their own picnic lunch and enjoy time with friends, family, and neighbors in one of Patrick County’s most scenic outdoor spaces.
Complimentary treats will be available from the Pickle & Ash Food Truck while supplies last.
At 1:00 p.m., attendees will have the opportunity to meet mural artist Jon Murrill, who will share insights into the inspiration, design, and creation of the mural. This informal artist conversation offers a unique chance to learn more about the creative process and the role public art plays in enhancing community spaces.
The event is free and open to the public.
“Public art helps tell the story of our community while creating welcoming spaces for residents and visitors alike,” said Lora Mahaffey, President, Bull Mountain Arts. “We invite everyone to join us in celebrating this exciting addition to the Mayo River Rail Trail.”
