It’s that time of year. The last remainder of the garden is being harvested. The Scarecrows have done their job all summer, now it’s time to bring them to businesses and public locations around the county. The Patrick County Chamber of Commerce is excited to bring back the Scarecrow and Monster Contest.

We encourage all local businesses, organizations, homeowners and churches to decorate a scarecrow or monster for display. Theme to your business, theme them to your favorite movie character or just create a good old-fashioned scarecrow or monster. To be entered into the contest, create your display and fill out the online form by October 7th. After that date we will compile the pictures for voting through an online form that will run through October 31st. Scarecrows must be visible from the road. If your business or organization does not have roadside frontage, call the Chamber and we will work to locate a spot for you.
