Patrick County Board of Supervisors & EDA creates Small Business Relief Fund

The Patrick County Board of Supervisors and the Economic Development Authority create a Small Business Relief Fund. Applications available on their website and due by September 11, 2020
The Patrick County Board of Supervisors and the Economic Development Authority would like
to make all citizens aware of the newly formed Patrick County Small Business Relief Fund. This
grant program has been created to help businesses that have been negatively affected by the
COVID-19 pandemic. The first round of applications are due on September 11, 2020, with grant
funds being made available to small businesses of 50 or fewer employees. The Board of
Supervisors has allocated $300,000 to this program with funding being provided from the
Coronavirus Relief Fund under section 601(a) of the Social Security Act, as added by section
5001 of the CARES Act.
All businesses are encouraged to review eligibility requirements set forth in the application and
contact the Patrick County EDA with questions. An application can be immediately obtained by
visiting the Patrick County Government website at www.co.patrick.va.us or emailing
EDA@co.patrick.va.us
