Patrick County unemployment dropped to 8.1% in October 2011 as reported by the VA Employment Commission

Patrick County's labor force was 9,385 in October, up from 9,308 in September but down from 9,422 in October 2010. Other rates for October were: Martinsville City 15.2% Henry County 10.4% City of Danville 10.7%
