Dec. 2-Press Release from the USDA Office in Stuart. Joshua Dodson is the new District Conservationist.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF NEW USDA NRCS DISTRICT CONSERVATIONIST IN STUART Joshua Dodson is the new District Conservationist for the Stuart field office of the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (formerly Soil Conservation Service). Josh grew up in the Northern Neck of Virginia in Northumberland County. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Crop and Soil Environmental Science from Virginia Tech. Josh comes to us from NRCS in Chatham, VA where he worked as the TMDL coordinator for the Southern Rivers region. He also worked for Three Rivers Soil and Water Conservation District in Tappahannock, VA as an Agricultural Water Quality Specialist, the Richmond County Health Department in Warsaw, VA as an Environmental Health Specialist, the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality in Virginia Beach, VA as a Confined Animal Feeding Operations Inspector, and Synagro in Phoenix, AZ as a Technical Services Manager. As District Conservationist, Josh will be overseeing the Stuart Field Office operations, conservation planning, and contract administration. Josh's passion is helping landowners make the best decisions with regard to the conservation and stewardship of their land. During his free time, he enjoys watching all sports, especially Virginia Tech.
