At the Nov. 16 Town Council meeting, the Council voted unanimously to contribute $10,000 toward the Mayo River Trail.

The money will be used to assist in improvements to the trail. Patrick County High will do a project to label flora and fauna and provide information for the kiosks. Landscaping will be done by the Master Gardners. An Eagle Scout project will work on installing park benches.
