The Meadows of Dan Community Association members are working very hard this year for the 2nd Annual Christmas Parade and Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.

Christmas Parade in Meadows of Dan The Meadows of Dan Community Association members are working very hard this year for the 2nd Annual Christmas Parade and Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. Brenda Quesinberry Association member reported today that she has about 30 individual entries for the parade and expects to have even more before parade day. There is no entry fee to participate in the parade, but the Association is asking for donations. All donations will go toward the parade permit and other expenses. The Parade will be held on Saturday, November 26 at 4:30 p.m. followed by a “Christmas Carol� at 5:30 and the Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6:00 p.m. Association Chairman Trinity Goad announced this year there is a rain date. In case of rain the Events will be held on December 3 at the same scheduled times. Rain, Ice or heavy snow will be the only changing factor. Bring the Children to visit Santa and Mrs. Clause, sing a Christmas Carol and enjoy the Warm Fire, Hot Cocoa, Hot Mulled Cider and Christmas Cookies. This year some of the businesses are giving Christmas Cheer. Poor Farmers Market will have a drawing for a $100 shopping spree to be given away at 8:00 p.m. Meadows Mercantile and Christmas In the Meadows both will have a 25% discount on all items except consignment items and they will have extended hours on Saturday.
