Press Release from Meadows of Dan Community Association Meadows of Dan Christmas Parade The Meadows of Dan Community Association is pleased to announce, the 2nd Annual Meadows of Dan Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony. The Parade is to be held on Saturday, November 26 at 4:30 p.m. Association Chairman Trinity Goad announced this year there will be a Street Scene “Christmas Carol� at 5:30 to be performed by Peter & Christina Holland on the side lot at Meadows Mercantile with the Tree Lighting Ceremony to follow at 6:00 p.m. in the open area to the right of Meadows of Dan Baptist Church. Visit Mr. & Mrs. Clause who will have gifts for the children and enjoy Christmas Carols sung by local artists on the Porch at Christmas In the Meadow. Round Meadow Enterprises and Blue Ridge Real Estate will be serving Hot Cocoa and Hot Mulled Cider along with Christmas Cookies while Blue Ridge Tree Climbing will have a fire to warm your hands and Poor Farmer’s Market will have Christmas music playing. Grand Marshal’s will be Roy and Willadean McAlexander from Meadows of Dan. Roy and Willadean have been tireless in their support of the community. Roy a member of VFW Post 8467 and Willadean a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, both working the 1st Saturday and 1st Monday every month to serve breakfast and spaghetti dinner. Both are volunteers at the Meadows of Dan Pancake Days and have been for numerous years. Parade Participants are asked to contact Brenda Quesinberry for parade information.
