MESSAGE FOR ALL PATRICK COUNTY CHAMBER MEMBERS FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
November 2, 2011
Dear Chamber members,
There is an advertising company, called “Adcom that is calling local businesses to sell ads for an emergency services magnet for our community.
We as a Chamber do not recommend, or endorse this company’s advertising program. Further, we as a Chamber do not warranty this program.
The Patrick County Chamber of Commerce typically gets multiple copies of this Magnet Emergency Services list of telephone numbers. We distribute them at every opportunity we can.
When purchasing ads from this company or other such marketing companies, I suggest you ask these questions:
1. How many copies will be printed?
2. How will they be distributed? And to whom?
3. What assurance do they give that they will fulfill their obligations to you the advertiser?
4. How much does it cost? For your business, is this worth the expenditure? Does it return value for the money spent?
We have marketing companies working our community at various times. Sometimes it is for phone book covers, tote bags, maps, calendars, magazine publications, and many other ways of advertising.
It is you the local business or organization who must make the decision to participate or not.
We stand ready to answer any questions you have.
Sincerely,
Tom Bishop, Executive Director
Patrick County Chamber of Commerce
