The second annual partnership for the arts 5k was held in stuart on September 9, 2011. Over 50 people registered to participate in the run/walk through town.

Mark Joyce from Bassett was the overall male winner in a time of 20:19 followed closely by Jonathan Adcock and Laine Dalton, both of Stuart. In the female race, Natalie Shelton of Stuart took first in a time of 24:40 followed by Stephanie Vipperman and Katie Boyd. The 5k run/walk was the kickoff event for the annual Art in the Park, presented by the Patrick County Partnership for the Arts. We had a very successful run/walk and would like to thank everyone who participated and our sponsors for their support. Our title sponsor was Pioneer Community Hospital of Stuart. Other sponsors include: Windy Hill Orchard, Medicine Wheel Massage Therapy, Rhonda Wade of Salon 1, Walmart of Stuart, Lowes Food, and Honduras Coffee Company.
