From Senator Roscoe Reynolds:
This past weekend, the Meadows of Dan community suffered a great tragedy when a fire destroyed their elementary school.
Today, I met with Superintendent Roger Morris and offered my assistance. I hope to meet with some of the families affected this evening to offer my sympathies.
One of the things we can all do to help those affected by this tragedy is donate school supplies that will replace the ones destroyed in the fire. Please join with me in supporting the teachers and students of Meadows of Dan by making a donation to help our students with their immediate needs.
Both Delegate Ward Armstrong and I will have booths at the Peach Festival this Friday and will be collecting donations there. Donations can also be dropped off at any Patrick County school or the Meadows of Dan Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
The list of supplies immediately needed is as follows:
· Notebook paper, spiral notebooks, binders, notebook dividers
· Crayons, pencils, pens, markers, highlighters, erasers, pencil trimmers, pencil boxes
· Glue sticks, scissors, construction paper, copy paper, graph paper
· Stapler & staples, tape & tape dispensers
· Sticky notes, paper clips, rubber bands, hole punches
· File folders, student folders, index cards
· Maps, globes, calendars, dictionaries, rulers
· Hand sanitizer, Tissues
· Books, toys, puzzles, games
If you would prefer to make a monetary donation, you can address contributions to:
Meadows of Dan Fire Relief Fund at BB&T
