Sandra K. Stone currently a deputy treasurer in the Patrick County Treasurers Office is seeking the position of Patrick County Treasurer in the November 8, 2011 election.

Stone first began working in the treasurer’s office in September of 1998 and became full time January 1, 2000. She started working as a clerk and became bookkeeper in 2002. She has been keeping the books for all county funds since that time with approved audit reports each year. Stone was born and raised in Patrick County and is a 1983 graduate of Patrick County High School. She received her certification from the University of Virginia Weldon Cooper Center for continuing education August 12, 2002 making her a Certified Master Governmental Deputy Treasurer. She currently has her education requirements to be a Certified Master Governmental Treasurer pending the upcoming election. Stone lives in Patrick Springs with her husband Jeff, and two children, Amy a sophomore at High Point University and Tyler a sophomore at Patrick County High School. She is actively involved in her church, County Line Church of God of Prophecy, and is a member of the Patrick County Chamber of Commerce.
