Allen DeHart Writes Story for Blue Ridge Country Magazine

Allen De Hart, born near Woolwine in Patrick County, VA has written a guest column for Blue Ridge Country Magazine, August 2011, page 66. He was born September 3, 1926. He was from a dairy farm near the Smith River and the Bob White Covered Bridge
He tells about Rock Castle Gorge Camp of the Civilian Conservation Corps in the Rocky Knob area of the Blue Ridge Parkway in late 1937.
He mentions the Appalachian Trail that was originally in the Pinnacles of Dan area, near Meadows of Dan.
He mentions DeHart Botanical Gardens, near and east of Lover's Leap on U. S. 58, in Virginia.
