Del. Poindexter (Republican) is from Glade Hill, Virginia in Franklin County. He will face Minority Leader Del. Ward Armstrong in the fall election of 2011. Del. Armstrong (Democrat) is moving his residence from Collinsville to Bassett to allow him to run in the 9th district against Mr. Poindexter.
