Morgan Griffith At Dutch Inn-Martinsville-June 7

June 7, 2011
Rep. Morgan Griffith speaks at the Post Legislative Luncheon at the Dutch Inn, Martinsville, VA, which was sponsored by the Martinsville-Henry County Chamber of Commerce on June 7, 2011

Rep. Morgan Griffith is the US Congressman representing the 9th District of Virginia, and is a Republican from Salem, VA. He spoke along with other elected officials, US Representative Robert Hurt, 5th District, and Virginia legislators, Del. Danny Marshall, Del. Don Merricks, Del. Ward Armstrong, and Sen. Roscoe Reynolds. Morgan Griffith thinks Amercan can get in better position with its manufacturing industry, if we rely upon it's position as No. 1 with Natural Gas Production and No. 1 with Coal Production. He serves on the US. House Committee on Engergy & Commerce. He has grave concerns about the US Debt and how it will impact his children when they reach their 40's. He is concerned about Giles County, VA possibly loosing 600 manufacturiing jobs, if EPA puts regulation on their formaldehyde and styrene industry forcing the business out of the country. If these kinds of industries get pushed out of US, they will end up in countries with pollution standards which will only make the world pollution even worse. Photo by Tom Bishop
