The Town of Stuart has received the 2010 Silver Performance Award from the Virginia Department of Health (Office of Drinking Water).

The award reads: Water Treatment Plant Performance Award for Excellence in Filtration and Backwash. The Silver Award winners meet or exceed the filtration standard, plus a standard for either water clarity or the filter backwash - or - cleaning- process.
