Benefit BBQ Dinner and Auction will be held on May 7. Dinner at 5pm. Auction at 7pm at the Blue Ridge Elementary School, Ararat Highway, Ararat, VA. Tickets are being sold at Ararat Grocery. CPL Joshua B. Kerns was injured on April 7 by an explosive device that caused him to loose both legs below the knee an done arm below the elbow. He is now in the hospital in Bethesda, MD. The benefit will help his family with travel and expenses. A special account has been set up at Carter Bank and Trust for local contributions.
