VDOT has announced that a section of Rt. 823 (Spring Branch Road) near its intersection with Rt. 735 (Boyd Hollow Road) will be CLOSED, so the deck can be replaced on the bridge over the Ararat River.

The road will remain closed for approximately two weeks. Traffic will be detoured around the closure. Crews will be working on various secondary non-hard surface roads grading and replacing stone, with periodic lane closures during daylight hours on weekdays. Watch for Flaggers controlling traffic throughout Patrick County. Weather permitting, crews will be cutting brush on various secondary roads throughout Patrick County and patching potholes on various secnondary roads. Watch for delays and pay caution to the Flaggers.
