Jared Boyd is clawhammer banjo and rhythm guitar player from Galax, Va. He has played at the Galax Old Fiddlers’ Conventions and gigs around Virginia and North Carolina solo and as a member of the Twin Creeks String band. -- Mabry Mill is the most photographed spot on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The old mill, cultural demonstrations, and tradition of Sunday afternoon music have drawn visitors to the location for decades. Milepost Music concerts are held the first and third Sunday of each month, June through September, outdoors near the sorghum shed.
