Come and Celebrate with Villa Appalaccia - Wine-aversary Weekend: Six Years Out!

Villa Appalaccia - 752 Rock Castle Gorge  - Floyd, VA 24091

Come and celebrate with us! Villa Appalaccia will be celebrating six years this August. We’re partnering with a local cause during the August 10th-11th weekend. This year we’re thrilled to announce our support of the Floyd County Library Building Fund Pavilion Project. Situated on the west end of the library’s property, the pavilion will serve as a versatile venue for library programming–think concerts, art programs and nature events–while providing a delightful space for patrons and visitors to enjoy. Our collective support can turn these plans into a reality, fostering a vibrant outdoor space that will leave a lasting impact on our community. We have such wonderful customers, and we know you’ll want to join us in supporting this incredible effort. Here’s what you can do: Donate! We are accepting donations on behalf of the pavilion program (cash or check). Checks should be made payable to: Floyd County Library Building Fund ( FCLBF). Donate online here. Come to the Villa! We will be donating 10% of all revenue from Saturday, August 10 to the cause! Have a great time while supporting a great cause. Here’s a little more about the weekend lineup… SATURDAY, AUGUST 10th --- Where to begin.... There’s food. Wine. Music. Art. Here we go… BBQ BUFFET (12-2): Enjoy a spread with plenty of options, sweet (banana pudding!), savory (pulled pork and ribs!) and veggie friendly. In an effort to reduce wait times, we are offering two seatings for this event--one at 12pm and one immediately following at 1pm. Everything will look and work the same--except with shorter lines! Early bird tickets ($20) on sale until 11:59 pm, August 6th; day-of tickets are $25 LIVE MUSIC—Souvenirs (1-4): Souvenirs is made up of local music veterans, including Dave Fason and David Cannaday, that bring an eclectic mix of Americana, bluegrass, folk, rock and country music to the Villa stage. WINE RELEASE: After four years in the cellar, we’re finally releasing our long-awaited bourbon barrel-aged cabernet franc, The Buffalo. It’s big. It’s smooth. It’s worth trying. Tickets include a tasting of this amazing wine. Plus, members get 10% off bottles. And speaking of The Buffalo ARTIST IN RESIDENCE: We’re so excited to include on the label of The Buffalo a piece from local artist Raven Skye McDonough depicting a majestic, bold and colorful buffalo. These characteristics along with our proximity to Buffalo Mountain, made the artwork a natural fit for our wine bottle. Raven will display some of her other art pieces in our tasting room and will also be onsite from 12-3 pm on August 10th to meet/greet and autograph some bottles. Word on the street is there may even be a new poster of the art available for purchase and signings. Get Tickets! SUNDAY, AUGUST 11th... Sunday picks up where we left off. More food. More wine. More music! Our good friend, Seph Custer will take the Villa stage from 1-4. And did we mention pizzas?! Once again, we can't thank you enough for your support over these six years. Can't wait to see you all and celebrate! Cheers, The Villa
