4th of July Bluegrass and Old Time Music Competition, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 4th. If it rains, the competition will be held on July 5th. Location: Vesta Community Center, 149 Community Drive, Vesta, VA. Competition Categories: Banjo, Fiddle, Guitar, Mandolin, Bands, Vocals and Flat Footing. Three levels: Children, Teen, Adult. Opening Ceremony by Patrick County VFW Post 8467, followed by presentation of Quilts of Valor made by Freedom Quilty Ladies. Concessions available for sale. Games for children.
