Annual Pancake Days, 3rd and 4th Sundays in October, 7:00am-7:00pm. All you can eat! Homemade Buttermilk Pancakes, Buckwheat Pancakes, Sausage, Sausage Gravy, Coffee, and Drink. All proceeds go to the Meadows of Dan Ruritans, Meadows of Dan Volunteer Fire Department, and Vesta Rescue Squad.

The Ruritan’s purpose is to create a better understanding among people and, through volunteer community service, make America's communities better places in which to live and work.
Meadows of Dan Ruritan Club projects: Community Services, Trash Pick-Up annually plus Adopt a Highway, Annual Pancake Days fundraiser with MOD Fire Department to support community services such as MOD Elementary School, Food Bank, Food Pantry, Hunter's for the Hungry, Mountain Top Park, Firewood Project with free firewood, Sixth and Seventh grade MOD School Trip, MOD Community Building.
