The Historical Society/Museum houses a large collection of Patrick County memorabilia including old photographs, newspapers, tools, and books. Open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. 10am-2pm or by appointment. Services Provided: Museum, Family History Research, Historical Programs and Displays.
Some of the remains of the B-24 Crash Site on Bull Mountain in Stuart in 1944, and countless other artifacts. Collections include weapons used during the 17th century, and other memorabilia of the Civil War. A corner holds articles from WW1 and WW2. They also have genealogical materials including marriage, death, census, and birth records along with family files available for family tree researchers. They also have a computer that holds local family lines as well as the ability to read the various research discs they own.
In addition, you may purchase the History of Patrick County published by the Historical Society there. Hours are 10-2 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 10 am to 2 pm.
