Currently, our distributions to hospitals are nearly 3,500 units higher per week than expected. Seasonal challenges have also added to the strain.
A readily available blood supply is the backbone of modern medicine. Without it, lifesaving treatments and critical access to care are at risk. Emergency Departments cannot function effectively, cancer treatments may be delayed, and patients experiencing trauma, childbirth complications and other medical emergencies may face limited access to the blood products they need
Together, we can quickly replenish hospital shelves and ensure patients have access to the blood products they depend on. I know that when our mission calls, we always rise to the challenge, and I am confident we will do so again.
