Kibler Valley River Run

River Run in Kibler

 

The Kibler Valley River Run will be held on July 28, 2018, on the Dan River near Claudville, VA.  This will be the 36th Annual running of the event.

 This competitive event is sponsored and operated by the Red Bank Ruritan Club on Red Bank School Road, Claudville, VA and includes various canoe and kayak events.

 Rustic camping is available for participants.  All participants receive a commemorative T-Shirt for this year’s event.  T-Shirts will be sold also to the general public.  This is an excellent event for water sports fans and photographers.

 Patrick County Tourism is a sponsor and we say, come to Patrick County and “Experience the Simple Life.”  Also, many businesses are sponsors for this event and we greatly appreciate their support and specially thank the landowners and volunteers.  Further, we thank the Pinnacles Hydro Plant and City of Danville for providing the water flow.

 Directions from Mt. Airy, NC are to follow Route 103 to Claudville and turn on Route 773, Ararat Highway, then turn on Kibler Valley Road and go approximately 4.2 miles on the right.

 Directions from Stuart, VA are to follow Route 8 South and turn on Rt. 103, and at Claudville turn on Route 773 Ararat Highway, then turn on Kibler Valley Road and go approximately 4.2 miles on the right.

 Concessions are available and include hamburgers and hot dogs.  All proceeds from this event go to the Red Bank Ruritan Club and help us meet many needs in our community.

 Registration begins at approximately 8:30am and racing begins at approximately 11:30am-12:00 noon.
