Would you like to learn how to turn food scraps and yard waste into a valuable resource for your garden or plants? Composting can be a confusing process, until you break it down into layers. The benefits of composting include improving soil health, water retention, and less reusable waste going to the landfills and creating methane gas. By using a ‘layering effect’, compost can be created in a reasonable amount of time, with minimal effort. Even the homeowner can use the very beneficial soil amendment for house plants. A variety of ways to create and use compost will be discussed.
